The reason for this is the extremely precise coin slots, where inserting the coin can sometimes be quite difficult, especially for female buyers and users.
A comment from SAFE’s online store says, “I should mention that the TOPset album for 2€ coins is not suitable for women’s fingers… it can be quite challenging to place the coins in the slots. Otherwise, everything was great!”
The accompanying video confirms that it is not a defective product. Although it can be seen in the video that even the author of the video struggles to place the coins in the slots with ease, this is justified. As mentioned, the album’s pre-formed slots only rely on the precise size of the slot and the securing tabs to hold the coin in place. A larger slot would result in the coin moving around and, in the worst case, falling out of the album. On the positive side, removing the coins from the slots is relatively easy, as shown in the video.

- Insert the coin into the slot by pushing the edge of the coin under one of the three securing tabs and firmly pressing down on the part protruding from the slot.
