For the first time, the book presents Estonian coinage history in all its diversity, from the coins minted in the name of the Roman emperors to the commemorative coins issued for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia. In between, there are Viking treasures, medieval coinage in the centres of Old Livonia, local coinage under Swedish and Polish rule, monetary conditions under tsarism and in the pre-war Republic of Estonia, foreign tokens from the years of occupation, and Estonian kroon coins after the restoration of independence.
